1. Pick a topic you really enthusiastic about
2. Don't pick a topic that you cover as part of you a-level syllabus
3. Don't be afraid to change you title of whats going to be covered in your essay, so long you can show reasoning behind the changes, it can be used to show development of the project

Try to source information from a variety of different sources- the internet is great but it isn't always that reliable.Use the internet to spark off you research and give you topic ideas and from there research using a variety of books and journals to act as secondary research.For primary research produce questionnaires and interview specialists on your topic.
5. Manage you time efficiently.Every school does the EPQ over a different time frame some do it in the academic year others do it over the summer. Try to plan you time so that you have enough time to write several drafts of the essay and review it.
